Pushpa Murugan

According to Pushpa, painting is all about visual closeness. She is a realistic painter, finds inspiration in various subjects such as portraits, still life, landscapes and other genre that she likes to explore. Her choice is always to bring everyday life onto canvases and desire to merge art and life and redefining modernism.

Her practice requires careful observation and skills to produce an artwork with a strong and accurate resemblance of the subject. Throughout her process, she constructs the bond between space, colour, form and tone to produce engaging artworks.

Pushpa mainly works with Acrylic, Oils and Graphite. She also explores watercolors and Printmaking frequently.
